IndoorVu, an indoor mapping and spatial analysis services company, is proud to announce that it is the newest Esri Business Partner to be awarded the ArcGIS Indoors Specialty. This specialty recognizes that IndoorVu demonstrates knowledge and expertise in indoor mapping, location analytics, and the implementation of Esri technology for ArcGIS Indoors.
Per Esri, “ArcGIS Indoors is a complete indoor mapping system for smart building management. Through an extended version of ArcGIS Pro, native web and mobile applications, and an indoor information model, ArcGIS Indoors provides a common operating picture for executives, workplace services personnel, and other employees and visitors to understand, manage, and use their workplace environment.”
Now, IndoorVu and Esri can deliver a full suite of indoor mapping data and applications regardless of what building documentation currently exists. IndoorVu works with clients to prepare and configure existing drawings and integrate them directly into ArcGIS Indoors. If building documentation is unavailable or out of date, IndoorVu can rapidly deploy and collect building information with our proprietary camera based capturing method.
Using only a camera, IndoorVu can map small and large venues with minimal impact to tenants and deliver a wide range of indoor content. From this data, IndoorVu can create accurate and complete building documentation that reflects the current state of buildings and venues. In addition to drawings and models, IndoorVu creates 360° intelligent imagery of indoor and outdoor spaces. From this imagery, precise three dimensional positions of pixels can be measured and used to extract various kinds of data, such as safety and security assets and other points of interest needed for ArcGIS Indoors.
With a successful implementation of ArcGIS Indoors, people, places, and things can be organized and visualized in a single platform. A simple inventory of assets is enhanced with location information and presented in a variety of ways, ranging from a two-dimensional view of a floorplan to a three dimensional view of a specific office. Additionally, employees, contractors, and visitors can be provided with step-by-step routing information that instructs them on how to get to where they need to be. Empowered with this new capability, IndoorVu will support customers and partners throughout the process of data creation and application deployment in implementing indoor routing, logistics, intelligent space planning and many other indoor GIS related services.
